Plaza Drug/Metabolic Plaza is pleased to announce we are joining up with Chris Howell from Massachusets in and endeavor to help more PKU adults.

Chris has started a website called www.thepkuchallenge.com. There will be live chats with a licensed dietician and there will be other professionals in the chat room to give advice on other issues such as insurance.

Plaza Drugs own metabolic specialist Kyla P. Warren will be in the chat room on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, starting on March 17th 2010.

The patient is our guest - there is no charge for the patient. Each patient is allowed 2 guests - parent(s)/guardian(s), friend(s) or sibling(s) for a charge of $5 each ($60 value!). Additional guest(s) are welcome for the cost of $15 each. NOTE: Children 2 and under will not “count” in the 2 guest rule if they do NOT require a ballpark seat/ticket (will sit on lap).

Scholarships are available for those in need: scholarships are available to be sure your whole immediate family (parents & siblings only) are included in this event. Please call

We are sad to announce the death of one of PKU's staunchest allies. Mark Prizer the general manager of Vitaflo USA passed away on March 2nd 2010.

For all of you Vitaflo USA patients, you know how much Mark worked with and for PKU. Often taking the time to help whenever he could.

Mark will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him. We want his children Josh, Emily, Amanda and wife Bonnie to know we will have them in our thoughts.
